Wrapping up Summer 2016

Well that’s a wrap… What a summer it’s been! With our Camp Wilderness adventures finished for the year, it’s about time we looked back at the incredible time we’ve had in the woods. Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone we met in 2016 and of course to our exceptional leaders for making it so memorable.

At Camp Wilderness, we give children a chance to learn new skills and gain independence regardless of previous experiences. This year we saw a wonderful array of new faces along with returners from years past, so we truly felt like a family, whatever the weather threw at us!

While the jam-packed itinerary is what makes our camps so special, when the children reminisce about their woodland adventure in years to come, they won’t be talking about specific activities. It’s the experience as a whole – that mix of nature, new friendships and parent-free fun that gives them the biggest boost in self-confidence. That’s why we work so hard to give the children the time of their lives with the intention of creating more ‘mini adventurers’.

We can’t tell you how much we’ve enjoyed our summer – our bushcraft family truly has grown and we miss you already. Enjoy the rest of your year, and we look forward to seeing you all in 2017 for some more woodland outings!
