Mountaincraft with The Bushcraft Company
Our Mountaincraft course takes place on the banks of Llyn Gwynant, in north Wales, where a traditional safari-style camp, scattered with alpine bunkhouses and roaring fires, sits against the stunning backdrop of Mount Snowdon.
This picture perfect adventure playground is the ideal location for your school trip, as it gives students a chance to experience a truly wild environment and take part in an exciting mix of high-octane activities.
The mountaincraft course teaches students how to live comfortably in a wild mountain environment, as well as introducing them to some fun adventure sports such as rock-climbing and kayaking. During the course they will be taught navigation techniques, mountain first aid, emergency procedures, how to plan and prepare for an expedition, and applied Bushcraft skills.
We have a very hands-on approach to learning and always make sure each student takes on a variety of roles and responsibilities during the course. This allows the students to develop strong relationships with their peers, as they begin to understand the importance of communication, teamwork and leadership skills. Above all, we will give your students the confidence to explore the great British landscape, and the skills they need to enjoy it safely and responsibly.
