Unlike traditional centres, we do not house our students in dormitories but instead we let them have a real taste of the wild, with safari-style tented camps situated in the heart of the forest.
Scattered with huge, roaring fires, parachutes strung from the trees, and an array of elaborate bell tents and huge scandinavian teepees, you and your students will be able to enjoy the departure from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Depending on the season, and the age of the students, they will sleep in a selection of bell tents and shelters they have built, for the duration of each course. All of our tents house between 10-15 students, and we ask each student to bring a sleeping bag and roll mat with them, as laid out in the kit lists. During the autumn and winter months, we make sure the students are given hot drinks and soup throughout the day, extra blankets at night, and tented teaching areas for lectures.
On residential camps, we will provide single sex accommodation for school staff, hosted in Emperor bell tents, with communal areas where you can relax with your colleagues. The teachers' area will include camp beds, thick wool blankets, sheep skins and a brew box, for a more luxurious stay in the wild.
Each of our sites embodies the same sense of old-fashioned adventure and offer its students an inspirational setting in which to learn and develop. We want to capture the imaginations of our young visitors, and with nature on our side, we manage to do exactly that, time and again.
