about us

The Bushcraft Company is a leading provider of outdoor education, offering a range of real outdoor adventures to schools across the country.

our team

We believe in real outdoor adventures. Our aim is not simply to give students a taste of adventure but to inspire a lifetime of it. We want to open their eyes to everything the natural world has to offer and give them the confidence and skills to explore it.

We offer 24 hour to 5-day residentials, leavers camps, enrichment week programmes and activity weekends for students aged 7 to 18 across 10 woodland centres around the UK.

Arriving at one of our safari-style tented camps, students will become fully immersed in the wilderness, sleeping in large bell tents and cooking over open fires. From fire lighting and shelter-building to archery and wild swimming, our school trips cover a wide range of skills and learning outcomes, with strong links to the national curriculum. All of the activities encourage team building and give students the chance to develop new skills and interact with their peers in a fun, creative environment.  Whether they are cooking river trout over an open fire, building shelters to sleep in, or learning how to navigate through dense woodland, our outdoor adventures are as real as you can get.

Every meal at camp is freshly prepared on-site, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. The majority of meals are prepared by our Camp Chefs and eaten communally around the central campfire. On every trip, the students will also have the chance to cook their own food, using traditional Bushcraft methods. We cater for all dietary requirements, including all allergies, religious choices and vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free diets. We are also a nut-free company.

Our school residentials are run by a team of experienced Instructors, Tribe Leaders and Camp Chefs. Each camp is made up of large tipis for meal times and talks, a central campfire, large white bell tents to sleep in and single-sex porta-loos. On longer camps, woodland showers are also available. Teacher accommodation comprises large bell tents in a private camp area.
