Stay Home Stay Wild: Outdoor Education Resources
With summer term now in full swing, and students engaged in robust online learning schedules provided by their schools, we have been thinking about how we can support at-home learning.
Luckily we have some members of our team still living in our woodland camps and they have created some fantastic, educational how-to videos designed to give school children the opportunity to continue their outdoor education at home during the lockdown.
The videos are now live on our YouTube channel (with more being produced each week), and cover topics such as fire-lighting and shelter-building, knot-making and humane trapping. Designed to encourage children to get outside and use their imagination, we hope these videos will help parents as they seek more and more ways to keep their children active and entertained.
In addition to the videos, we will be sharing some activity sheets online, with some creative ways your students and their siblings can engage with the natural world whilst at home.
If you are a school and would like to discuss these learning resources with us in any further detail, please contact us here.
